Unitree H2
Unitree RoboticsHumanoid robotAnnounced
Unitree H2 is a humanoid robot from Unitree Robotics, unveiled on 20 October 2025. It stands 1820 mm tall (headline copy rounds this to '180 cm') and weighs about 70 kg, with 31 total degrees of freedom (6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist, 2 in the head), a published maximum leg-joint torque of 360 N·m and arm-joint torque of 120 N·m, and an arm payload of about 15 kg peak / 7 kg rated. H2 EDU adds an optional multi-model dexterous hand and secondary-development access; a separate H2 Plus configuration adds a Jetson Thor-class compute module (2,070 FP4 TFLOPS), wrist cameras and an optional dual five-finger tactile dexterous hand (22 active DOF per hand), and is marketed by Unitree as built on the NVIDIA Isaac stack (Isaac Sim/Lab, GR00T foundation models, Isaac TeleOp). Unitree publishes a C++ and Python SDK, ROS 2 examples and MJCF simulation files naming H2 explicitly, plus teleoperation support (xr_teleoperate), though unlike H1/H1-2 and G1 it does not ship an H2 Isaac Gym/Isaac Lab reinforcement-learning environment through Unitree's own repositories.

|---|---|---|---|
| SDK | Official | unitree_sdk2 (C++, latest release v2.0.2): example/h2 (high_level, low_level: h2_ankle_swing_example.cpp, h2_dual_arm_example.cpp, behavior_lib). unitree_sdk2_python: example/h2 (high_level, low_level). | [5][6][7][8] |
| ROS 2 | Official | unitree_ros2's example/src/src tree has a dedicated h2 folder (high_level, low_level: h2_ankle_swing_example.cpp, h2_loco_client.cpp), even though the repository's own introduction paragraph predates H2 and names only Go2/B2/H1. | [9] |
| Isaac Sim / Lab | Not published | The H2 Plus page says the configuration is built on the NVIDIA Isaac stack; no H2 Isaac Sim or Isaac Lab environment is published in Unitree's repositories (unitree_rl_gym and unitree_rl_lab do not list H2). | [2][14] |
| MuJoCo | Official | unitree_mujoco ships an h2/ MJCF folder (h2_mujoco.xml, scene.xml); the repository's documented config-file robot list includes 'h2'. | [12][13] |
| Gazebo | Not published | h2_description contains only meshes and URDF/XML files; no README or launch/ folder was found (unlike h1_description). | [11] |
| URDF / MJCF | Official | unitree_ros: h2_description (H2.urdf, H2_dae.urdf, H2_loop.urdf, H2_loop.xml). | [11] |
| Teleoperation | Official | xr_teleoperate v1.6 added H2 support (7-DoF arm) via the --arm option. | [16] |
| Languages | Official | C++ and Python (unitree_sdk2, unitree_sdk2_python). unitree_sdk2_rs (same GitHub org, v0.3.0) additionally lists Rust RPC clients per model including h2. | [5][7][17] |
